John Lu had almost all Aleson vessels  drydocked at Michael Slipway, a small and obscure shipyard in Cebu.
Billings were made not by the shipyard but by his drinking buddy friend Sherwin Moliva who has no company,  not
even office, nor even a landline telephone!

CHECK PAYMENT
Check payment to Sherwin Moliva

Aleson payment to Mr. Sherwin Moliva for the drydocking of M/V Aleson Con-Carrier 9 at St. Michael Slipways, Inc. This is    the    balance payment. An advance payment of 800,000.00. Total bill was a whammy 3,200,000.00 pesos.

WHY ON EARTH WILL ALESON HAVE TO ADVANCE DEPOSIT 800,000.00 PESOS TO SHERWIN MOLIVA EACH TIME IT'S VESSEL TO
DRY-DOCK TO MICHAEL SLIPWAY SHIPYARD ???

No business owner will ever do this! ALESON HAS NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

You don't need a rocket scientist to determine why Aleson Shipping paid to Mr. Sherwin Moliva (one of the many contractors
operating in that shipyard) and not directly to the shipyard Michael Slipways, Inc.

Aleson Shipping was even made to make cash advance deposit of 800,000.00 for the drydocking! This was the icing on  the
cake for both John Lu and Sherwin Moliva. Both were able to make management believed that an advance is needed since
Mr. Sherwin Moliva charges so low! roll eyes..

I can see John Lu's tongue comes out like a finger to my mother's face, Nelsons', Bobongs', and Jayjays', and give them the
most stupid reasons, but yet comes out loved! WHY??! ~ kasi MIS-MANAGEMENT!!!

Management is not only so weak, but wicked as well.

Below are some of the other Aleson vessels drydocked at St. Michael Slipways, Inc. all of which had the same John Lu - Sherwin
Moliva anomalies flavors of cash advance 800,000.00 pesos deposit and payment not to shipyard but to    drinking-   buddy-friend

contractor, to wit:

These deposits and the total balances were paid not to the shipyard but to Sherwin Moliva!?!

One Person Company Billing Statement

Other billing statements of Mr. Sherwin Moliva, all with the same peculiar one-person-one-company letter headings   (double click to

Sherwin Moliva is the son of Engr Moliva whom I personally came to know when I drydocked our vessels at Cebu  Keppel Shipyard decade ago. We communicated in chavakano since he was also from Zamboanga. I fondly call him  Manong Engr Moliva and was able to get some special attention from him which was stupendous since he was in-  charge for the scheduling of vessels at the shipyard.

CHARM NEGOTIATION
Charm Negotiation

   Other Mano-mano AND Charm-style negotiations:

His son Sherwin, at that time I think fresh from college,  was selling Chukogu marine paints especially for  vessels
inside the shipyard where his father Engr Moliva was the Docking Supervisor. A decade later, Aleson Shipping had to
pay cash advance 0f 800,000 pesos to secure Sherwin Moliva's drydocking expertise?!?
